During September the railway’s volunteer Secretary Alex Brindley got married to his fiancée Shelley. The two of them were married at Braddan Church, with most of the Groudle gang acting as best men, groomsmen or ushers. This was followed by a photo shoot and drinks reception for the wedding party at Lhen Coan, following a trip down the line from Lime Kiln. Everything was polished and spotless and it was a wonderful day. Sea Lion hauled her rake of 4 original vintage coaches and the wedding party thoroughly enjoyed the visit and some beautiful photographs were taken at Lhen Coan. We wish the happy couple a long, happy life together…and welcome Shelley to the Groudle Family (she’s already better at firing an engine than Alex is!)
