Despite the stormy weather that hit the island on Saturday 15th December, the first weekend of our Santa Trains were busy. For the first time since 2016 the trains were operated by steam locomotives Sea Lion and Annie together bringing hundreds of families from North Pole Halt at Groudle beach into the glen to visit Santa and his Elves.

As well as handing out gifts to all the children who were on the nice list, there were festive refreshments which this year included popular hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and stolen bites to accompany the tea, coffee, mince pies, orange juice, mulled punch and sweets… and hundreds of families took advantage of having their free, downloadable photo taken with Santa’s Elves aswell.

Santa Trains will once again be running this coming weekend (Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd) from 10am to 3pm… and Mince Pie Trains will be running on Boxing Day from 11am to 3pm. Tickets are available in advance on the website or simply turn up on the day.
